The Smart Grass Mat is supplied 23mm
(thick) x 1.0 metre (wide) x 1.5 metre
(long) and is a non-slip cellular
structure rubber mat. It is ideal
for installation beneath play and
fitness equipment and it can also
be used for high-wearing walkways
across grass to protect against erosion.
The Smart Grass Mat was designed to
allow grass to grow through the large
and small holes; this helps to keep
that natural green feel to any area
where children play and have fun.

Manufactured from recycled rubber,
Smart Grass Mat requires no base work
and is suitable for flat or contoured
sites. It wears extremely well and
is resistant to all weathers and temperatures.
This innovative safety surfacing solution
is maintenance-free, keeps grassed
areas looking smart and allows the
grass to be cut with a conventional
mower. It is wheelchair and pushchair
friendly.
Smart Grass Mat has been independently
tested in accordance with the requirements
of BS EN 1177:1998 and achieves a
Critical Fall Height in excess of
3 metres on grass. However, unlike
Smart Safety Tiles and Smart-Pour
Continuous Surfacing, this type of
surfacing relies on underlying soil
conditions to substantially contribute
toward to its impact absorbency performance.
With this in mind, we would generally
recommend that caution be exercised
in using this product with items of
play equipment with a free fall height
in excess of 2 metres.*
A ground stabilising mesh is also
available for soft, boggy sites.
